Attachment & Relational Therapy in Durango, CO & Online
Heal in Relationship — with Self, others, and the natural world.
Are You Longing for More Meaningful, Connected Relationships?
Do you find yourself stuck in the same patterns in relationships?
Do you struggle with trust, vulnerability, or fear of abandonment?
Are you unsure how to express your needs, set boundaries, or feel secure with others?
From the moment we are born, relationships shape how we see ourselves and the world. Early attachment patterns—formed through our relationships with caregivers and shaped by culture, society, and life experiences—play a powerful role in how we navigate connection. When these patterns are disrupted or unhealed, they can show up in adulthood as anxiety, avoidance, conflict, or a deep sense of disconnection.
Attachment & Relational Therapy can help you explore these patterns with compassion, so you can move toward deeper connection, emotional safety, and greater relational freedom.
How Attachment Patterns Affect Your Life
Attachment isn’t just a psychological concept—it’s a lived, embodied experience. It affects how you:
Form and maintain intimate, platonic, and professional relationships
Express your needs, emotions, and desires
Navigate conflict and repair ruptures in connection
Respond to closeness and distance
Regulate your nervous system in relationship
Show up authentically in the presence of others
Whether you tend to over-function, shut down, people-please, or struggle with emotional overwhelm in relationships, therapy can help you understand where these patterns come from and begin to shift them.
What Is Attachment & Relational Therapy?
This therapy is rooted in the understanding that healing happens in relationship—not just by talking about it, but by experiencing something different. In a supportive, attuned therapeutic relationship, you can begin to experience trust, safety, and being fully seen in a way that may have been missing in earlier relationships.
Together, we explore your attachment style and relational history—not to pathologize, but to understand. From there, we work with present-moment experiences to co-create new ways of relating to yourself and others that feel more authentic, secure, and empowering.
My Approach: Experiential and Rooted in Relationship
My work is grounded in:
Gestalt Therapy – working in the present moment with what’s alive in your body and emotions
Polyvagal Theory – understanding your nervous system responses and building regulation through safety and connection
Attachment & Developmental Models – including the Freeman Model of Attachment and Human Development
Relational & Experiential Practices – including nature-based and equine-assisted therapy for those who are drawn to healing through experience and connection beyond traditional talk therapy
Our work together might include:
Tracking your nervous system to build safety and resilience
Noticing sensations and emotions that arise in connection
Exploring and re-patterning relational dynamics through real-time experience
Practicing boundary setting, emotional expression, and vulnerability in a supportive space

Nature-Based & Equine-Assisted Therapy
Relational healing doesn’t have to happen within four walls. I offer nature-based and equine-assisted therapy for those who feel called to reconnect with the natural world as a co-regulator, teacher, and relational mirror.
Nature-Based Therapy invites you to explore patterns of attachment, regulation, and belonging through the rhythms of the natural world.
Equine-Assisted Therapy offers the unique opportunity to explore nonverbal communication, trust, and emotional regulation in relationship with horses—sensitive, honest beings who respond to our inner state.
Both approaches offer powerful opportunities to experience connection in new ways—grounded, embodied, and deeply relational.
Is This Work Right for You?
You might benefit from Attachment & Relational Therapy if you:
Struggle with patterns of insecurity, anxiety, or avoidance in relationships
Feel disconnected from your body, your emotions, or your sense of self
Long for deeper intimacy, authenticity, and trust with others
Want to explore the roots of people-pleasing, perfectionism, or over-functioning
Are healing from relational trauma, family dynamics, or emotional neglect
Are interested in learning how to regulate your nervous system in connection with others
You don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need a willingness to be curious about your inner world and how it shows up in your relationships.
You Don’t Have to Heal Alone
One of the most powerful aspects of this work is that it meets you in the very place where you may have been hurt: relationship. And it offers something different—attunement, presence, and a path forward that’s rooted in self-trust and connection.
Healing your attachment patterns isn’t about becoming perfect. It’s about becoming more yourself—more open, more grounded, more able to navigate relationships with honesty, care, and choice.
